Maddicts

vegan graphic novel

Maddicts is a dark satire, set a little in the future.  In 2027 the world is looking pretty bleak. Factory farming has escalated beyond even today’s levels and the Government is planning to build bigger, more hideous animal breeding and slaughtering facilities on greenbelt land.  At the same time human dementia has reached epidemic proportions and very few have made the connection between that and meat addiction.  In this world of non joined-up thinking, only a few individuals are aware of the looming crisis.  Professor Miriam Goode attempts to warn the public but no one is listening.

The story unfolds day by day, in a darkly-comic documentary style, revealing what happens when billions of abused and brutalised animals the world over act simultaneously to escape their bonds and make a break for freedom.

There’s no swearing or disturbing images or anything like that, but it’s not really suitable for under 12s.  You can read it here first if you like 🙂
