Luke Walker and the Secret Society of animal stick up for-ers

Luke is back and he’s not alone.  Luke Walker (animal stick up for-er) has been sticking up for animals since he told his parents he wouldn’t eat his meat when he was eight years old.  Now, in the third book of the series, he is eleven and at secondary school.

He’s still the same brave outspoken animal defender but now he’s got allies.  Three friends have joined him and together they are the Secret Society of animal stick up for-ers.  Chapters seventeen to twenty four are as entertaining as the first sixteen and are filled with the funny and inspiring direct action taken by four motivated, compassionate eleven year olds.

  1. Honestly: in a word “Brilliant” ~ characters so genuine, depictions so, so real. All seems to come from real life experiences – that Violet Plum is a great activist/spokesperson for a/r ! It was a pleasure to find time at end of day to read another chapter, and a hardship to stop after just one [to leave something to look forward to the next day !]
